Some Words About Captain Cutler

Captain Issaiah Cutler sailed the Massachusetts coast (in the area that is now southern Maine) during the American Revolution to keep it free from the warships of the British Navy. After his time in the war, Captain Cutler was hired by a private company as a bounty hunter, tracking criminals throughout the high seas. Known for his cold and ruthless character, the Captain continued relentlessly with his pursuits until his mysterious disappearance in seventeen eighty-three.

His mansion, once the home of the extended Cutler family, has been carefully preserved and remains almost precisely as the Captain left it...affected only by the force of time. Each chamber has been securely barred in to protect its contents from visitors...or, in some cases, the visitors from the contents.

Now you may have the privilege of viewing every corner of the Mansion...from the library and conservatory to the special prison cell built to hold some of the most notorious seafaring criminals of the day. And be forewarned: though the premises are considered to be abandoned, you may see and hear things that will convince you otherwise. Captain Cutler's mansion may not be for everyone, but those who dare entry will discover one of the most unusual and exciting estates of its type anywhere.
